I know that I saw someone post something about repairing paint chips properly (not necessarily on this board). Anyhow, I was giving my car it's first good hand washing and I noticed *gasp* chipped paint on the hood.

I would really appreciate any tips people have on taking care of this.

Thanks

I tried the stuff and did not have that much success. Things seamed to work fine up until you are ready to disolve the paint bump. At that time it seams to either take all the paint off or none. Tried letting it dry longer and still got the same result. I guess I just am not skilled at touch-ups. Have fun, Rick

This is not a tip to do repairs, but to avoid paint chips. If you use the high-pressure car washes, spray parallel to the car, NOT at a 90-degree angle.

It took two years, and someone finally opened their door and scraped the passenger door, no dent. {sigh}
