I know I will draw some fire on this, but I was wondering if just having the immediate option of disabling Assist/Regen with the simple flip of that switch(Hooked to the clutch pedal wires) might be a very simple solution to staying in lean burn when the IMA wants to grab a few bars of regen on the flats,etc....On my commute home it is dark, and with the lights on ,flat road, there is frequently a few bars of regen, which is certianly affecting mileage...
Any comments on the usefullness of just using a disable switch to eliminate this low level regen,(until you lose most bars on the SOC)
to acheive better mileage ,sorta like a manual hyper simplified MIMA?
Disclaimer...I have had my Insight since Dec.4.....but have 4K on it since then.....
