Hello, I own a 2000 Honda Insight 5 speed. I tried to search for this problem but couldn't find anything. Recently my climate control has been constantly blowing out air even though it is "off". It has happened once before but it just shut off after a day or so of it. Also my headlights have been messing up. A while back my lowbeams went out and only my highbeams would work. It was not the bulb though because I got that tested. But now neither my low beams or high beams work. I am not really sure what else to say. I love my insight I just hate cars.
Also I have leak problems that I have read about. My passeneger side floor is almost always soaked but I think I know how to fix that, I have just been to lazy to do so. Oh and also I checked to see if it was the fuse and it was not. Thanks for any help you guys can give me.

Hello Kory

I had the same problem with the headlights as well. There is a Bulletin in the US for this but if you are in Canada you are SOL unless you can replicate it for the dealer. Fortunatly for me right before a service vist the lights acted up and they replaced the headlight relay. In regards to the wet floor, what usually is the cause is the window regulator bunches and water gets in. Sometimes silicone spraqy will prolong the need for replacement of the runchannel which is very $$$. Someone else may be able to give you more info on the climate control problem

Is the vent blower actually running, or is it just air coming through the vents? I've experienced the latter before. Not recently.

There's a recall on the headlight switch. I believe some 2000 Insights are included.

I installed MIMA this weekend and was surprised to find my passenger side floor was pretty soaked as well. I haven't investigated yet, I just mopped it up with a towel.

So it's the headlight relay?

The vent blower is actually running not just air comming through. It blows whatever temperature it is set on but everything on the display is off.

Thanks for the help

Check your glove box.........

Open your glove box and check in back of it with a flash light;check to see if some slipped from the glove box.It might be jamming a servo motor that controls the position of air flow doors. I had a eye glass case do it.
