You need a hybrid battery.
If you need to drive the car, pull fuse #18 from the fuse box under the hood and leave it out. This will disable the hybrid system, but it will continue to charge the 12v system. Also, the car will then want to start in the 12v backup starter, you have to hold the key for about 5-10 seconds in the crank position before it actually cranks.
