I’ve seen plenty of information about the current hack and how to install it but I was just wondering if anybody has a lead on the second version of it. I’m new to this forum and just got my g1 insight about a week ago but have already done the clutch switch mod, tint, and a radio and speakers. Thank you in advance.

Can you or someone provide a link to the most up to date directions for how to do the hack install? I've been digging for hours and can't clearly find it. I want to order 2, one for each of my Gen 1 Insights, from @Bull Dog.

The biggest PITA is getting to the fuse. You have to remove the IMA battery to access it from the side (white bottom right in the picture). You'll have to make some room for it as well since it's a thicker fuse so either Dremel or break off plastic areas that interfere with it.

Thank you! That helps. I wasn't sure what the most current method is.

In the video we are shown the 40% increase resistor going into the BCM. What if we are doing the 10% or 20% increase? Won't we need a different resistor?

IMA coming out today for this hack!

The board can do 0%-20%-40% depending on how you set the dip switches. You'll also have to change the value of the resistor in the BCM. Let bulldog know what you're trying to do and they'll send you what you need.

I wouldn't be worried about going to 40% if that your concern. I have a stock capacity battery and haven't seen any issues with 40%. Many other people have driven on 40% for many years with no issues either.

Is it possible to have this modification installed that's hot switchable?

I would like to Dyno test it for curiosity sake.
You can run the car with the ima Bay open. You just don't want to touch it while it's switched on. You could in theory put a switch on the BCM resistor and then change the dip switches on the MCM board. I wouldn't recommend doing while the car is on, so no, not "hot" switchable. But you can turn the car off, switch everything (after turning the main Ima switch off), turn it on, and another power run

He shipped out 2 sets to me recently and the tracking says I'll have them Friday! I'm excited to get them installed and see how it feels. I know Bulldog said he had some in stock a few days ago that he built recently.
