Custom shifter with 2 buttons

I'm planning on having a custom shifter made for my insight that features 2 buttons for controlling mods.

Twistedshifterz can make all sorts of custom shifting knobs. They already have a single button knob and they said they can make me one with 2 or 3 buttons. They can probably make one with an IMA C&C/MIMA joystick.

Here is an example of one with just a single button.

I plan on getting IMA C&C but I heard it is bad to ride with your hand on the shifter so I only want to use the shifter for FAS and Max Regen. I also have a clutch mod for times when the battery gets low, or if I have to drive uphill (or fast) for a long time. I'd like to connect the clutch circuit through the max regen switch so that the calprod is interrupted when regen is applied. It looks like a DPST momentary switch would be ideal.

I have a few questions for the knowledgeable members of this forum:

What should the volt/amp rating be for the max regen switch (brake light circuit)?

Would this item work?

39-261 RED: Grayhill : Push Button Switch (N.O.-N.C.) Single Pole Double Throw Round Plunger 0.25 Amp 220 Volt AC 28 Volt Momentary Contact Pc Pins Through Hole : Electromechanical

Or is there a better switch that one could recommend?

There's Daox of Ecomodder.com who 3D-prints a 1, 2 or 3-button shifter knob:

Ya get what you pay for sometimes and it certainly applies here.

I bought one a couple years ago with my old Insight. The buttons would get stuck and the wiring to the buttons was janky at best.

For $30 I didn't expect much and if you're ok with modifying it to work properly then it's fine.

Perhaps his process has improved since I bought one 2-3 years ago.
