Please excuse me im a newbee here...I have just purchased a 2002 insight, when my wife found this article.

http://www.consumeraffairs.com/automoti ... sight.html

The long and short of it is:

I have measured with a Trifield meter, and we have found that the electromagnetic field (EMF) impacting the driver and passenger are dangerously high.
The driver is receiving up to 135 milligauss (mG) at the hip, and up to 100 mG in the upper torso and head area. For comparison, my VW van measures between 1 and 2 mG.

Any clue to the vaidity of this statement? Needless to say we are quite concerned.
Thanks in advance.

Did you even scan the forums for the topic :?: Theres one post on the first page of the General Discussions forum right now.

Using the forum search feature returns 74 posts too. (Search the key term EMF)

Its an old tired topic here at IC. One not grounded in any established scientific fact as to any health issues. But only time will tell. The Insight is not exclusive to these type fields, many other cars are comperable.

Sorry, but as completely as this has already been discussed I'm locking this post.

Sincerely,
