___With a BIN price shown at $12,950, I have the feeling its reserve is up around $11K or more? Even with your abilities, a CVT is probably only good for maybe 67-70 lmpg at best so it’s not exactly what I would call a bargain w/ 42,000 + miles on her already. There are too many 2000’s with less mileage going out in the $10K range (some even Honda certified ) to make this a bargain at anything above $11K let alone $12,950 imho.

Dan it depends on the year. I don't have any numbers but my opinion is that in the 2000 model 5sp are more common. But I would say that their have been more CVT's built in the 02,03 and 04 years. Have fun, Rick

I've been thinking about ebaying my Insight. :? Just not sure if I want to take the loss on selling the car. I'd be curious as to how much it would be worth.

42k miles, Honda care warranty 5year/100k, Pioneer CD player and rear speakers, rockford fosgate front speakers, tinted windows, rear cargo net, bra, super clean paint via 3m car wax and only hand washed, new tires and rims, set of stock rims with tires, complete service records, used Mobil 1 oil as soon as it was sold, Fram oil filters.

Only bad things are - passenger side mirror is gray. though i have the green one. just need to swap the shell.
Back bumper has a few scratches thanks to a kid on a bike and a hit and run. Not that bad but it still pisses me off.

Sadly probably less than 10K, or maybe somewhere in that neighborhood with the wheels. Green might be about the only thing going for the car because some people desire it, others hate it. The stereo won't add much to the value of the car, your probably better off putting it back to the stock configuration if you sell it.

Sad isn't it? You might be better off trying to sell it locally, eBay doesn't fetch the most money most of the time. People are looking for deals on there. I'd hate to see you go. Is it the engine issues that are making you consider selling it?

The last Ebay Insight 2000 5 speed Item number: 2467682481 with 42000 miles went for 10250.00 without any warranty along with stock stereo.

I would guess that tint, rims, new tires, K&N filter, set of stock rims, Pioneer cd player, Rockford Fosgate front speakers, Pioneer 3 way rear speakers, rear cargo net, 5 year 100k mile Honda Care warranty, and complete service history would make the car worth at least 13,000

I wouldn't pay 10k+ on a car without service history. Some owners never perform the proper maintenance on a car.

I did have someone email me today to see if I wanted to sell. I did a quick search and found a good deal on a replacement car. So I might just sell. :shock:

Insight Pricing

Hey Everyone, I'm considering selling 'MONKY C', and would like some advice on pricing...

2000 (#00167) Silverstone Insight 5 spd, 24,000 miles, A/C climate control, sony cd system and infiniti speakers, service records. There is very minor scrapes on the alloys from shipping by rail across country. All paint, glass and fabric excellent; Honda dealer service manager says the car is perfect. Only used for pleasure driving (I don't commute, and gas here is approaching $1.00 a liter - $5.00 a gallon).

BC Canada registration; export to USA not a problem.

You should check the Kelly Blue Book and/or Edmunds TMV pricing to get a sense of the market. No idea what effect being in Canada would have.
