Hi Folks, First of all, I love my Insight and don't think I will drive anything else except for a '63 XKE Roadster which I used to have. Anyway, I've got a problem and I hope someone can help me. My Auto Stop feature is not working when I have the AC in Econ Mode. I took the car to the dealer today and they were stumped. Does anyone hazard a guess as to what the problem might be? Thanks in advance. Bill

There are a number of conditions that will prevent auto-stop - low engine temp, low IMA battery charge, very low external temp, having a floor mat wedged under the clutch pedal preventing it from going all the way down or a loose connection / failure at the external temp sensor located in the front bumper. HTH.

I had the same problem. My external temp. sensor was not connected. In fact, one of the two cable was severe. I reconnected it and everything works fine now.

You can verify if this sensor is defective by gettings the sensor readings. I don't remember the buttons but it is in another post ;)

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you

Well, you folks diagnosed a problem that the dealer couldn't. Thank you so much. It turned out to be the temp sensor that you both mentioned. I went out to my car last night and there the connection was, just hanging there. Now, why couldn't the dealer catch that. They had it for almost 4 hours. Oh well. Thank you and thank you to Insight Central for a most useful site. Bill
