Hey guys I haven't really had the time or the money to follow up with number at ideas that I have so I thought I would just share them with you guys.

This idea is simple you would create some type of secondary air intake that is restricted using an electric motor used as a generator as well as a way to switch from that and the regular air intake. That way less throttle is required to achieve necessary vacuum, and some of the energy is recovered.

The goal of this mod is to increase energy efficiency during low throttle instances such as lean burn, and deceleration.

I've been thinking about trying that for a few years. Can a useful amount of electricity be generated?

I would guess that 5 to 10% increase in lean-burn MPGs would be possible.

Obviously one would I be able to generate more than the pumping losses so it would vary with the driving condition. It can be used with hot air intake and theoretically has greater potential for gas mileage savings. I like the idea of doing anything that can improve efficiency during lean burn.
