I have 04 Insight auto, it was brought to Jamaica damaged from Japan. Mrchenically only the intake manifold was changed.
After a short time the engine light, fuel low light ,Ima light, brake lighy has come on and the AC has shut doun
There is no IMA assist and the engine cuts out at 3500 rpm. All plugs were reconnected and 4 broken wires connected poperly. The main battery can start the car the IMI charge gage comes on briefly and.the engine light is off briefly say 10-15 secs after starting
There is no Incite dealer in Jamaica, but I am technically experienced
I do not have a service manual at this time . I would appreciate any suggestion.
Thank you

First suggestion - if you haven't already done so, order a Service Manual! http://www.helminc.com

#2 suggestion - Learn how to read the DTCs (diagnostic trouble codes :?: ) with the blinking light method, or ask a local auto parts dealer - in the US, AutoZone will do it for free. I'm not sure how to do this for a 2004 automatic, try searching the forum, or wait for someone else to post it here.

We really need the DTCs to get a handle on your problems.

Welcome to the Forum CharleyB. Blimey! :) You must have the only Insight in Jamaica.

It sounds as if you have a whole heap of problems. The only thing I can suggest is work your way through the car eliminating possible causes one by one, starting with electrical connections. Don't touch the IMA pack, it packs a lethal 144V DC punch. Please note that the spark plugs are specialist iridium and the coil packs are relatively delicate and might have been damaged in the crash. Insight parts in Jamaica might be a problem, can you get them from the USA?

It will be a great car once you have got it working properly.
