I try to keep an open mind, like the suggestion about hydrogen injection, but personally I need a compelling scientific explanation or testing to shell out any extra cash.

I checked out the links provided. It just might be a mixture of canola oil and solvent, possibly ethanol if it's non toxic.....

Well, I know the city of San Diego uses it in their fleet/city vehicles and found the cost of the product worth it as the increase in mpg offset it.

"Ethos FR is a unique combination of high-quality, non-toxic, specially designed esters"

Esters are supposed to go in the OIL, not the fuel tank. Esters are a lubricant that reduce friction between metal parts.

I see no benefit to burning them.

The website suggests that it reduces fruction in the fuel pump of Diesel engine. That sort of makes sense.

I'm sure if San Diego uses it, they are not paying retail price. ;)

I read ethos FR website today.
Adding 1 oz. to OIL at next oilchange is part of requirement to qualify for
double-your-money-back
warrantee.
I have to wonder about good old Marvel Mystery Oil which some mechanics, esp. diesel mechanics, swear by.

The pitch Ethos makes is that "esters" help vaporization by breaking up "clumps of molecules"
and, it's 100% bioderadable . . .

cost : $53 for 32 oz.

As with all additives, if the stuff is so good, why is it not already included in fuel/oil? You'd think with oil and fuel companies doing everything possible to improve their products, any magic bullet would be already added.
