Hooray! the lifetime fuel economy for my 2001 mt has just dropped below 4 l/100km (58.79 mpg) - it now reads 3.9 l/100km (60.3 mpg).

When I bought my Insight it had 6500 km on the clock (now about 20,500 km) and had a lifetime of average of 5 l/100km (47.04 mpg). I currently average between 3.3 l/100km and 3.4 l/100km (about 70 mpg) so I expect that the lifetime fe will gradually fall towards that level.

Fuel is about $1.40 Australian here in Melbourne (translating that to US$ per gallon is too hard - but it is significantly more than US prices) so I'm happy
:D

I drive reasonably carefully to get good fuel economy and also try to maintain momentum around corners (in other words - I enjoy exploring the handling limits of my little red sports coupe! 8))

Congradulations ... and best of luck with the "little guy"

... and by the way, try not to grin too much when driving it or worse, don't do it at all when you pull into a gas station to fill up. People might think there's something wrong with you! :)

Fred :)
