I was driving late night earlier this weekend and felt a Big Thud on my driver side front wheel. I figured I had hit some debris, pulled over, and took a look at the car. (I was already a half mile farther down the road and wasn't going to walk back to see what I had hit - if anything- see below).
I noticed that the porttion of the bumber that extends towards the tire had come loose. I pushed it back on and continued.
In teh daylight I looked more closely. It turns out that there's also a tear in the front of the plastic which _looks_ like it should be sealable with, well, something or another....
But far more importantly,. I've also lost the black, umm, "underskirt" I'd guess you'd call it, as well as the connecting plates that hooked between the bumper and the body.
It's possible that the Thud was one of them coming loose rather
than my hitting something.. I dunno, but the net result is I have to:
a: get the skirt and connecting plates (hopefully available either as new from Honda, or just maybe, maybe, used somewhere...), hook them in.
b: use something or another to glue/weld the torn area back together.
(The tire, fortunately, is fine, and there doesn't seem to be any damage to the Much More Expensive stuff down there).
Anyone have any experience to suggest?
Thanks
