Footrest Plugs

I just spent close to an hour doing a search in the forum and now come to you for help. I got the footrest from Jim H 2 months ago and one of the plugs has lost it's head ( kinda like me ) These plugs are longer than normal, and I KNOW I saw a part # or place to get them in one of the forums but alas, it seems to be gone.

If anyone can tell me what/where to get them I'll forever be grateful :!:

Sorry guys

I've been SUPER-BUSY at work these last 2 months or so - haven't had a chance to keep up with the forums...if you ever have any questions about the footrests - please PM me, or email me direct at jholmgren "at" advertising.com.

Mitch - Glad you found them, thanks for helping him out in my absence Rick!

Actually - I've had a few more requests...so I'll probably be posting another "group buy" email :D

Hmmmm..haven't heard any other problems like this...I've probably put about 30K miles on my original footrest...no problems.

I wouldn't say it has anything to do with big feet...I think Andy Lurig's probably got some pretty big feet, since he barely clears the headroom area in the Insight

Me...I've got size 11's...do you wear boots or other hard-sole shoes a lot? I wear sneakers 99.9% of the time, perhaps that's it??

If anyone has a better idea for a method of attaching the footrests...I'm sure willing to package them with something different.
LOL...well...that'll certainly hold it Mitch! Just make sure you seal up that hole, so you don't end up with soggy carpet!
Man...I've often heard the expression "lead-foot"...never thought I meet a real one ;-)

If there's anything I can do to help, please let me know.

Jim

ps. - Sorta off topic, but my '75 Spitfire has holes (intentional AFAIK) in both the driver and passenger-side foot areas. I guess those wacky Brits figured they should put drainage in - just in case you get caught in a downpour with the top down. The only problem is that the car is steel...so its a nice spot for rust to form. I'm in the middle of replacing one of the floorboards now. The dime-sized hole is now about 6" in diameter
D'OH!
Let me know if you have any trouble finding the plugs Mike. I keep extras on hand, I'd be happy to drop a couple in the mail to you.

I actually push mine in with my thumbs, but maybe I have extra-strong thumbs! I knew all those hours and hours of video games would pay off someday (the glorious results of a mis-spent youth) !

Glad you like the footrest! I just replaced the foam under mine this weekend - it was looking pretty grimy.
