01 Insight CVT, Royal Blue 100K miles, new battery, new IMA battery, new primary oxygen sensor, four new tires (Bridgestone Potenza), new hatch shocks. Includes floor mats and rubber mats. 2nd owner; well cared for. Great condition with a few minor scratches. Maintenance light stays on (which is tied to the odometer). This can be repaired. Up-to-date with service. Located in South Carolina. $6,500. Will look at all offers.

To be clear, the "maintenance required" light can be turned off by anyone following the simple procedure outlined in the Owner's Manual. No repair is needed.

Sounds like he has a bad switch Art. Mine has been bad for years. Finally put a piece of black tape over it because it got so annoying. One of these days I'll fix it.

Tape is certianly easier, but I wonder if you could remove the bulb for the maintenance light for a clean permenant fix?

if one were to open up the dash and instrument cluster to remove a bulb, it would make make more sense to fix the switch while its all opened up anyway. no?
