Does anybody know how to get plain, fresh air to come through the air conditioner vents without knowing the exact outside temperature to set the thermostat to? In town, I just roll down the windows (obviously an obsolete idiom in this car), but on the highway, that gets noisy. It would be nice to get what I had on my 2000 Insight: Just blow outside air through the vents. Meanwhile, on my 2003 Insight with air conditioning, it seems to want to run the air conditioner or heater all the time and won't leave the outside air alone.

James,
Do as you described and then press the OFF button.
But you will get very little air even at high speed with the fan off.

a.), b.) & c.)

a.) Dial down to 60*

b.) Hit the air econ button twice (1st time it turns on the a/c mode that shuts off the a/c when Insight auto-stops, 2nd time it turns on fan only - no a/c.)

c.) Then hit the fan button at least once. This keeps the fan on at a constant speed. If you don't do this the fan will run at max trying to get to 60*. (That gets noisy.)

Good luck, enjoy.
