so i was driving home today and i looked down and my Fuel Efficiency Meter was gone. so i was like 'wtf?' and i hit the FCD button to check my instant mileage and it was there again. but when i went back to the lifetime mileage, it wasn't there. i turned off the car and started it again, but that didn't seem to work. so i have 2 questions:

has this happened to anyone else?
and
does anyone know how to fix it?

Hold down the FCD button for a few seconds and then release, you should see it cycle through making the various mileage displays appear/disappear.

i found out you have to be in auto-stop mode for that to work which is why it wasn't coming back when i was driving. i felt like a goon when i figured it out cos it was so simple. i'm just glad this thread didn't have like 30 posts pointing and laughing at me.

I prefer it off so I read the manuel to find out how to turn it off. You found it by accident.

I also found it by accident, but I prefer mine to be on. I believe it has helped me achieve higher mileage.
