Every Grid Charger we sell undergoes at least three quality control checks. Regardless of which of our assemblers puts the charger together, I personally inspect and perform a final test on every single one before it ships.

Here is a photo of one of our new SC3.0 units undergoing the first of many QC checks. In this test, we set the unloaded voltage and fan speed, as well as verify all wiring is done properly:

Do you load test them too?

I use to work for a company that did not test their product and relied on the dealer or other shop to fix it. It came back to bite them a few times.

They instituted testing all equipment before it left and started testing as it arrived so it could easily be returned to the manufacture as well as adjust projected inventory of finished equipment and orders from other or competitor suppliers. .

Absolutely. All chargers are load tested during the final QC check. Between our tests and Mean Well's own internal QC checks, the power supplies are thoroughly vetted before being shipped to the end user. That is why we only put name brand power supplies in our chargers.

When installed properly, we have never had a unit come back from a power supply failure. When well meaning customers use other products YouTube installation videos instead of our instructions and wire them up wrong, well let's just say the magic smoke can escape quickly ;)
