Bought a MaxxVolt minimalist charger. Watched videos from several makers, just to understand what I was going to do. The MaxxVolt says (and pic) that the positive hookup to the ceramic resistor should piggyback to the rear-most male connector. The RBattery video and another show hooking up to the front-most male post. Are the charge machines similar, or importantly different? Or, does it not matter?

Do not hook your grid charger up to the right side of the bypass contactor resistor(when looking at the front of the pack). It needs to be connected to the left side of the resistor, the side that connects straight to the positive side of the main contactor/pack.

I don't fault people for following his instructions, but every time I see this I want to bang my head against a wall.

Sure, the pack still charges, but at a reduced rate due to.. the resistor. So.... Why?

Yeah, I got multiple emails that lectured me at length for looking at other’s videos, and not doing exactly his method.
