Well, many of you know that my squadron at Langley AFB has 60 members, and FIVE G1 Insights! Pretty awesome. Anyway, our unit is the Heritage of America Band, and I'm a Euphonium/Trombone player. We are working REALLY hard gearing up for the upcoming holidays. Tonight was a dress rehearsal for a few local(ish) concerts.

Tomorrow night we play in Hampton, VA, then Saturday in Williamsburg, and finally on Monday 7 December, we play in Fredericksburg, VA at James Monroe High School at 7PM (concerts are all free, by the way!). After those, we break into small groups and head to military bases to do a little caroling.

ANYWAY, I know that Peter and I have put a few videos up of our musical moments... so, after a hard swallow, here's another! I'm not a great speaker, so ignore me as best you can, but check out the music, because the guys are really great players!

So, here's a link to the Heritage of America Band's FaceBook page:
https://www.facebook.com/heritageofamericaband

You'll have to scroll down just a bit to find it, but when you see some guys in ABUs with instruments about to play "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" then you've gotten to the correct spot!

Hope you enjoy! Happy Holidays!

Haha! Oops... I guess I really have been in too long... You can tell, because I've started to think everyone just understands random letters ;-)
Thanks, Sam!

Yikes... I hope I didn't, anyway... unless that's good... then, maybe?

hehe!

Anyway, I'm the same way, don't actually have a facebook account myself. Here's a link to the video on YouTube. This should be easier to check out:

Again... no laughing at me... ;-)

And if any of you are looking for something to do before the 'skins-Cowboys game Monday, we play in Fredericksburg, VA at James Monroe High School at 7PM. Price is right... free!

Nice arrangement... I always loved those trombone WAHHHHHs... and you didn't even spray paint your toilet plunger gold. Just good old natural rubber. Looks like a blast :)

Been out of town for several days. Just caught it today.

Greats stuff. Loved the "keep it all natural" plunger :)

When is your transfer? Gotta get together soon. We leave for Southwest in Mid Jan. Pete somewhere over in your area. Maybe we could rig a luncheon one day?

Thanks man! All of that was a lot of fun, and getting a little coaching from Harry was pretty darn cool, to say the least!
The Insight pulls out of Atlanta tomorrow and we're headed to New Orleans to rat around for a day. Hopefully we can get to Preservation Hall and Cafe Du Monde for some Begniet!
After that, we're headed in to Mudder's country!

Oh, the French Quarter! Enjoy it. Lots of cool street music. Cafe Du Monde is awesome. Get you some chicory coffee. And take the cup with you. Harrah's Casino has an awesome buffet for really good deal, but you gotta be hungry for that. (King Crabs, steak, etc ).
Have fun! Safe travels.
You know Jim E is down there somewhere at this time of year too.

Ha! Well, the plan is to leave out of Atlanta tomorrow and pull into NO in the evening, leaving most of the 27th to sight see. Then head out on the morning of the 28th for San Antonio. Might have to catch a meal with somebody!
