Has anyone worked out the correct position for a Eurolite headlamp beam adaptor on a UK Gen 1 Insight to enable legal driving in Europe.

The Gen 1 is not listed in their documentation that accompanies the diagrams. Not sure if the beam pattern is similar to the Jazz, in which case they would be just below the centre mark.

They suggest going to a dealer, MOT station etc and borrowing the headlamp alignment machine. ( Not particularly useful when you have to fit them on the ferry )

I just park in front of a flat white wall and add black tape to remove the left hand side light leakage pattern for each headlamp. If you do a neat job you can claim it is a commercial product.

Thanks Peter

I have the eurolite patches which are supposed to suit every vehicle - a 60mm disc with the optional triangular extension, they will look official so plan B was to do as you suggest and find where they best block the upper left.

It also helps if you use your headlight leveller and dip the light down to the ground / to the lowest position.

Well I did the lowering of the beams and the shining into a white wall and placed the beam adjusters accordingly. (If the attachment can be seen) the 60mm discs are placed so that the small square which indicates the centre of the light should just hit the circumference at somewhere close to 2 o'clock. At least that's where I found it best. Managed to travel 2,667 km across france without anyone flashing me so I guess they're about right.

I guess that would be 10 o'clock to convert a LHD to suit UK roads.
