first gen. I know they dont come with them, that's why I'm wondering if anyone knows of an aftermarket installable part, like a heating element.

I used to build squad cars, so installing something behind the glass wouldn't be a prob for me. I just haven't been able to find anything avail.

Can't speak for GasSipr, but I was looking less for parts and more from somebody who said, "I did it, it was successful, and here's how I did it."

I was on a similar page there as far as did anyone perform this successfully. I do, however, appreciate the parts tip. Some searching revealed the following write-up on a successful DIY install. They reference the same heated element and Yes, I know it is performed on a Subaru but it still provides some details. Just some more info and I plan to go this route possibly next week. If all goes as planned, I will take pics and try to put a writeup here.
