A while back I posted a fake picture of a car with a "photoshopped" display. With winter coming on I could not match the fake numbers till summer. Well summer is here and I have a tank posted at 74.9 mpg. RJBarlow has me beat with a tank at 77.5 mpg!

These tanks are real! Not photoshoped!!!

My tank:

Barlow's:

I just learned some new tricks that might get me in the eighties. Watch out Insight owners! We are nipping at your heals!

Im gonna have to go test drive one again now :)
Yeah, wait till I post my next tank. I've learned about a new hypermile technique called pulse and glide that I've adapted for the hilly conditions where I live. I'm hoping to break 80 mpg.

I think he transplanted an Insight engine into the Civic... and his 40 MPG Vette. :D

Great job LakeDude!

I wonder if you can hold on to the top spot in the GH database, it's fun watching your stats.

Thanks.

My one big advantage is a second shift job. Traffic going to work is pretty light in the afternoon. Coming home at midnight there is almost no one else on the road. I've got to drive with the traffic flow on the way to work but coming home I can go very very slow.
