On the way to a client this morning 4 deer came running across the road. I caught something moving in the corner of my eye then it was in front of me. I had no time to react, I did brake but didnt slow down much. Probably hit it going 45. Hit the deer with a thunk sound and it went straight up in the air. Never saw it come back down. Went to heaven I guess.

It looks like the bumber support is bent a little, may be able to bend that back, but will need a headlight, hood, and fender. There is a metal bracket that broke off in the 2rd picture, not sure what to do about that or what it was for.

If anyone has these parts in silver and in good condition let me know. I am willing to drive a bit to get them. I'm in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The rest of the car was in perfect condition.

Glad it didnt get anything else, like especially the windshield. I have always wondered if hitting a deer with a small car would place the deer right in the windshield.

Edit: not sure why my pictures arent showing up in the post but here are the link if they dont show up.

I’m pretty sure Gerald has parts. I think he’s still out of town for about another week.

I’ll send him an email and see when he’s due back.

Well, that's exactly what happened to my roommate and how I got my car. The deer was jumping, collapsed the windshield, collapsed the roof, and broke the clips on the plastic strip above the door as it flew over the passenger's side. Insurance was planning to send it to salvage but I bought it instead, and am really enjoying it. It took nine months to fix it. I still have glass coming out the floor vents.

You made out pretty well with yours. The fender is easy to fix, and silver hoods should be easy to come by. The hardest part will be spending time needed to straighten the metal around the headlight to make it true again.
