Want back seat vents, no such luck in the USA version of the Honda Insight, But just look at the one now being sold in Japan, it has standard vents in the back seats.

Want a better looking front grill vent with chrome accents, again not an option in USA version, Standard in ones sold in Japan, even on the EX version.

Maybe there will be some aftermarket options to put the Japan parts on the USA version of the Honda Insight.

On the Plus side the center counsel is not as nice on the Japan version.

Nice finds! In addition to the differences you noted, I noticed that the interior trim on the doors and passenger console seems to be cloth instead of leather. The floor model had a spoiler installed too, which is a dealer-installed accessory in the U.S.

I actually kind of dig the way the U.S. grill looks, because without the chrome finish it becomes a complement to the front rather than the focal point. But I would love to have those rear vents.

Blind spot monitor, not available in the USA version, but is included in Japanese version. Correct me if I am wrong, but this may be the only hybrid sold in the USA that does not have this feature.

It looks like the Japanese spoiler is different too--no lights, less ornamentation and flair. And it looks like it's standard?

They’ve add the Japan Modulo accessories to the 2020 Insight for the US. Its up on Honda’s website.
