I have read all the hot-air mods that I could find, and I have never seen this mentioned that I recall.
I received my aluminum flex tube for my upcoming hot air mod, so I was looking more carefully in my engine compartment.
I was a little surprised to see a "T" in the existing air intake (in the U-shaped hose). The obvious part of the T goes from driver side to passenger side along the top front of the engine compartment. We all know this one.
But coming out of the bottom of the intake, there is a branch that seems to head down to the driver's side wheel well area.
What is the point/purpose of this second branch of the air intake? What do you hot-air modders do with it?
In this picture of Insightful Trekker's mod, you can see the southbound pipe, and it seems to still be attached, so what affect is it having on this hot-air mod?
