How do you disconnect the power to install accessories?

How do you disconnect the power in the Insight whenever you are doing something that calls for disconnecting the negative battery cable on a regular car?

I presume just disconnecting the negative battery cable won't do it.

power disconnect

The same way you would on any other car. Only after you reconnect the battery lead you should reset your MCM. It tell you how in the OWNERS MANUAL.
