In the UK 2 were sold last year and 28 in 2003 - does anyone have total UK numbers

Also makes me want to find a dealer that will pre order one to my specs for invoice or below........anyone know how much a dealer will make if he sells at invoice?

When I decided to buy one, I wanted to go the Honda Certified Used route, and it took a while until one showed up doing a search on the Honda Website (was the only one within 250 miles.. luckily, it was only about 30 miles from me). I ended up purchasing it (2000 5sp, 31,000 miles, $9,200).

I've been interested in the Insight since it first came out, but haven't seen a new one at my local dealership since '00 or 01. I think (just my opinion) that when Honda realized they'd never be able to sell enough of them to make a profit, that the Insight became their "poster child" for fuel economy and hybrid technology, and switched marketing emphasis to the Civic and Accord Hybrids, which are their "bread and butter" hybrids from a financial standpoint. Honda will continue to make and sell the Insight (because of the image it brings to Honda) but not at any greater volume than we see at present (just my opinion again).

Couldn't be happier with it. Already upgraded the stereo and speakers, and have been playing around with tire pressure adjustments. I have picked up so much good info on here (thanks everyone).
