Hi folks,

I am looking for a procedure and torque spec for front brake caliper and pad bracket bolts. I looked around on the forum and couldn't find the exact information I was looking for.

my Insight is a 2010 model w/ ~ 209000 mi.

any help is appreciated, maybe a link to a previously posted thread.

Thanks!

you can download the service manual that you find here on the forum.

Here are two links from youtube.

Good luck!

I changed my 4 brake pads myself yesterday, the torque for front brake caliper bolts is 34 N.m, or 25 lbf.ft, the same as civic (please let me know if i am wrong!!).

The honda dealer would charge me $500 for roter + pads. I declined, and replaced myself for $30, not including roter.

Here are pics i posted for my whole replacing process, however, explanations in Chinese not English. (But feel free to see pics, no need to register)

Folks,

Thank you very much for the info. provided. The service manual helps a lot.

It turns out to be one of the easiest brake job I have done.

I only replaced the front brake pads, the bolt for the caliper is torqued to be 25 lb/ft and wheels lugs are 80 lb/ft.
