I am looking for a Honda insight. The only one near me was 33 miles away and a cvt. They said since is a 05 they could deal. However, I am looking for a stick shift insight. Preferable no air. Why Honda would have them on there website and at the Chicago auto show if no dealer has them? Can anyone help? What is the best way to search dealer for one? I am near Chicago, IL

FWIW, after looking for a new '06, I finally gave up, totally exasperated with the Honda dealer network. I decided to search the used market and found mine, an '04 CVT, on Ebay at a high-end used car dealer in Phoenix. The deal was very fair and the transaction flawless. The car is great, the local dealer is hoplessly inept.

I believe Honda purposely makes only a few of them, unlike the Prius.

I guess it depends if you consider the Mazda MX-5 Miata sales for 2005 of 9,801 and 2004 of 9,356 as selling "like mad." http://media.ford.com/mazda/article_dis ... e_id=22290

But, compared to the Insight's sales for 2005 of 666, 2004 of 583, 2003 of 1168, 2002 of 2216, and 2001 of 4726, I guess you could say that the Miata sales are "like mad..."
