A thread for Insight spotters. From time to time we see Insights when we least expect them. I thought perhaps a thread full of only these encounters would be fun.. I'll start:

I saw an Insight in Fort Benton Montana Monday June 26th about 11 am. Folks, Fort Benton is a small, small town on the Missouri River. I was there to take a canoe trip down the river. I'm all ready to go when I see a silver Insight...WITH TEXAS PLATES. So I'm walking down the street in my PFD trying to catch the Insight, lol they read a little about Lewis and Clark and pulled away. Just about the last place I ever thought I would see an Insight.

I ran into somebody else with a silver G1 at the Trader Joe's on University Avenue in Berkeley last... Saturday evening? He asked if I knew about IC...

There's been a silver G1 Insight on my block for at least a year, but I haven't yet caught the owner. (Not the guy I talked to on Saturday though.)

Today, around 10:45 AM, on Atlanta Street in Roswell, GA I saw this car, and my dash-cam (in my G2) got these photos. The Insight had Georgia plates and the driver was a white guy with gray hair.

I couldn't determine anything else about the vehicle.

Northbound silver Insight, driving under the George Bush Turnpike on Central/75 in Plano, right around 3pm yesterday... We were a little jet-lagged (12 hours off) but our friend driving us home from the airport woke me up with a jab to say, "look, someone stole your car while you were gone..."

PDX Costco today. Just gassed up and was waiting at the stop sign by the pumps to pull into the parking area to log my mileage. I was waiting for some fellow to pull out so I could pull in. The car looked familiar. He turned left in front of me and it was a dark blue G1 with Washington tags. He didn't stop so I went on to log my mileage and drive back to rainy Astoria.

Since I have gotten the “Insight Bug” a month ago. I saw one near my house. Which was surprising because I live out in the country north of Atlanta and normally all I see are Ford and Chevy trucks, (that are all jacked up of course). My first sighting of an Insight in a movie was in “The Day After Tomarrow”. It was a cool looking Citrus.

Going to visit some good friends tonight, westbound on Parker at Alma, Plano, 7:30ish... When a beautiful, clean silver passed us and pulled up alongside ... another silver stopped in traffic! Side by side! A rare two-fer...

Lucky! I want to see another G1 IRL, but who knows if that'll ever happen unless I go to InsightFest (which I have no idea when it is this year, if there's going to be one). There was a red one parked about 10 miles from my house for a day or two but literally that's it besides of course the one sitting my driveway.

New year's resolution is to be spotted by someone IRL.. with my mirror deletes and soon-to-be-attached Ecomodder sticker (and grille block if you look closely enough) I can't be THAT hard to spot.

About an hour and a half ago I saw a silver G1 traveling really fast on I-285 headed West north of Atlanta. It had Georgia plates but I didn't recognize the number. Rain and darkness prevented me from getting to notice any like identifiable features of the car.

I saw an Insight at... La Crosse, WI

I spotted a red first-gen Insight mushing through the snow on West Avenue by Menard’s. This around 3:00pm Wednesday 2/20/2019.

Silver one looking just like mine heading north on the New York Thruway near Albany exit 23 at around 5:30 as I was heading south on my daily commute home.

I saw your Arkansas silver Insight pictures in permalink 2405, sadly it is not me, I live in western Arkansas and have stickers on back window. Plus I saw an I30 Interstate sign so this was south of Little Rock. I'll keep my eye out for it if I'm around central AR.

I saw another Insight at... La Crosse,

I was at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Onalaska, WI today and spotted a citrus Insight parked by the employee and volunteer cars. Pulled in for a family portrait.

That’s four 1G Insights I know of in town - one wrecked and the other three on the road. The local Honda Motorwerks must have pushed a lot of these things out the door back in the day.

I've noticed that as well. I think the local Honda dealer specialized in Gen1 insights long after they were discontinued. As I recall that area of Wi has a lot of green energy programs.

I saw a 5th Insight at... La Crosse, WI

Thursday afternoon 3/14 I spotted a silver 1g Insight on West Avenue just north of Menard’s. That’s the fifth Insight (counting mine and a parts car) I’ve seen in this city of 50,000. Amazing.

Taking mine to the Honda dealer for an “official” oil change today. I usually do my own maintenance, but kind of interested to see what they have to say about all these Insights, plus adding another data point to the CarFax for this vehicle.
