I saw my red car's doppelganger in Sterling, VA today going the other direction.
I was driving in town the other day, in downtown Charlotte, NC, and just as I pulled up to stop for a light, amid all those tall mirrored facade buildings, I looked over and saw a guy in a G1 Insight just like mine, same color and everything. I quickly gave him the obligatory nod and thumbs up, and he did the EXACT thing. *chorlte* (....I don't "LOL", ever!, it should be against the law, in typewritten speech). Looked like a pretty cool guy, too, 'cept for the fact that he was driving up on the sidewalk. What a D*CK!I saw my red car's doppelganger in Sterling, VA today going the other direction.
That's a pretty funny story. (and hope to see you again in Frederick!)I was driving in town the other day, in downtown Charlotte, NC, and just as I pulled up to stop for a light, amid all those tall mirrored facade buildings, I looked over and saw a guy in a G1 Insight just like mine, same color and everything. Nowhere! I just got back from a 3,000 mile trip. I traveled in NM, TX, OK, KS, AR, and LA. I didn't see a single Insight. A lot of people saw me, though. Apparently a lot of people haven't ever seen a little green tadpole shaped car with a red boat tail. If I had a dollar for every picture I saw being taken I could have paid for my gas!

Pictures attached.Have a picture of your green tadpole with boat tail? I'd like to see it. Similar last month when I drove home from Boston I went all the way down the coast to florida, up to TN and then over to CA up to SF bay area and never saw another insight.
But I did see one the other day at Sams club in concord CA. Looks like it was well taken care of! Silver in color.
Just out of curiosity, is there a reason that you chose red, as the color for your tadpole's tail, as opposed to a, seemingly more obvious, solar array paneled hue, that one might expect to see adorning such a contrivance?Pictures attached.
