A thread for Insight spotters. From time to time we see Insights when we least expect them. I thought perhaps a thread full of only these encounters would be fun.. I'll start:

I saw an Insight in Fort Benton Montana Monday June 26th about 11 am. Folks, Fort Benton is a small, small town on the Missouri River. I was there to take a canoe trip down the river. I'm all ready to go when I see a silver Insight...WITH TEXAS PLATES. So I'm walking down the street in my PFD trying to catch the Insight, lol they read a little about Lewis and Clark and pulled away. Just about the last place I ever thought I would see an Insight.

They are the same ones as on an S2000 too... for my Navy Blue Pearl, I got clear ones. Buy the pigtails on eBay... clear bulbs with orange lenses, orange bulbs with clear lenses, but get the eBay bundle.

I also picked up a kit from Modifry.com that let's you wire them into your running lights too

This let's them work as running lights AND signals.
Side markers in action

It's all 20g wiring under the fenders and you can use the common ground under each fender (if you've ever had a fender off, you know what I am referring to).

All in all, about a 2hr job, just take your time when cutting put the fender holes for the lights.

The 06 has to wait for them, as I have to finish the LIBCM install 1st.

Driving up I-210 towards I-5 on Thursday, 28JUL22, an reddish G1 Insight rocketed past me with MARK320 for a license plate. Insights rule!

I really want to put side markers on my insight, but I don't have the stomach to risk messing up Citrus fenders.

Tonight about 7:15 on I78 W in NJ at about mile marker 40, Silverstone with Law Enforcement Memorial Specialty License plate. Caused me to test my VTEC (88 mph!) to try to grab a photo. First one I have seen in the wild in quite some time. Member here?

Seattle area- I saw two G1s in the same morning. I can't remember the last time I saw two in the same month, let alone the same morning.

Tuesday morning I was commuting from SeaTac back home to Marysville, and I saw a Citrus near downtown Seattle; that driver and I both acknowledged each other. About 30 minutes later near Everett I saw a Silverstone rocketing down the fast lane. I was tired as heck and didn't give chase.

The red one on pacific coast highway in Santa Cruz

Today around 10 am, I saw a nice silver on Barton road right here in Loma Linda, CA. I tried waving through my open sunroof, but it probably looked like just some weird sedan driver enjoying the wind.

I never spotted a G1 in the wild while driving mine until earlier. There was one time where I technically did, but it was parked and I've seen it before.

Found a red one in Smyrna, DE with NJ plates (the front was mounted on the driver's side of the bumper - tow hook mount maybe?) but we were going in opposite directions. I tried to turn around, but it was gone. I waved and I think the owner waved back.

If you're on here, I wish I was able to chat with ya!

I just zoomed past a Silver Insight through my home town of Camarillo CA. It looked like out of state plates.
Anyone here? It was at 9pm by the In-N-Out.

Guy that lives in the same townhouse as me spotted me (just barely), on my 40mi commute I spotted him of course as he was driving huge red flamboyant electrician's truck. I passed him a couple times and honked at him... got home literally pulling in behind him and he was like... OH so that was you does double take at my car ....facepalm. I think the brain turns off in traffic lol.
