Would somebody be so kind as to calculate my l/100km.

Here is the situation:

I bought my 2000 insight at 39000km. It was showing lifetime average of 5.3l/100km.

today it is showing 4.4l/100km at 104000km.

I want to calculate my average over the 39000 to 104000km interval.

Can somebody explain how i could do this.

Thanks and sorry for sucking at math.

At 39000KM your car had consumed 2067 liters. (39000/100)*5.3

At 104000km your car had consumed 4576 liters (104000/100)*4.4

The difference is 2509 liters and 65000km thus 3.86L/100km

(2509/65000)*100 = 3.86

Congratulations. Looks like you are a much more efficient driver than the previous one.

Have fun, Rick

Well it's been a while since you started driving the car, but you could just reset trip B and never touch it again as a personal lmpg... or you can even reset the lmpg.
