Hello, I am looking into buying an Insight [2000 red] , present owner has had it for sale for about 4 months with no takers. Price and condition are both good but car has been used VERY little the last year or more. Question, will the IMA battery reflect this lack of use. [test drove, 20 miles no problem]

I have had mine set for 2 months at a time when the weather is bad. No problems. The insight is fine for bad weather I just rather drive a more expendable car in bad conditions. Have fun, RIck

IMA battery like any NiMH rechargeable will lose charge slowly over time. The process is not harmful to them and is reversible in normal operation, or you can take special steps to recharge it:

Since you've already test-driven the vehicle it doesn't sound like it's a problem.
