So now all of our user names, passwords, and IP addresses have probably been compromised through the Autoguide breach. What are the practical implications of this? Anyone want to venture a guess or opinion?

In my case my user name and password were unique to IC, so no link to other sites or accounts, but I don't take much comfort in that since I'm not an IT guy and I don't have a clue where this leads.

Makes me want to take all my money out of the bank and bury it.

IMO discussion is worthwhile:(

Typically when information like this is hacked/stolen it is sold to the "black market". There they use the information to advertise using your account (spaming), or possibly use the information to get into other accounts you use that have the same username and password. It's impossible to predict how it will be used.

For you I would not worry at all, you used a unique password and your IP address isn't a secret anyways.

I always used a computer generated password that the site came up with.

Of course as others have suspected, Im not a real person so Im not worried.
