I would love to buy a new insight and was wondering if it will be available in '06.

I am a new member and a hopeful insight owner in the future... I've been admiring the cars ever since they came out. Sigh.

Also, does anyone know if there will be changes to the insight in '06 if it becomes available (since the civics are going through a design change, maybe the insight will?)

There will be an 06, but no changes.

It's been near impossible to find them new at dealerships. Not a single one in San Diego (new) in '05. Is there anything special I need to do?

No improvements to the insight, eh? :(

Well, it's still my choice over any other car :D

With the gas prices going crazy, it is in Honda's best interest to keep the Insight alive for at least another year. I bet dealerships get over MSRP for them now, as many non hybrid drivers scramble to get one.

Thank you!

I was getting nervous because apparently, the UK will no longer be accpeting orders for the Insight.

Yeah, looks like I might have to order one from the dealer. Meh. I was hoping there will be upgrades to the Insight so it can take advantage of new technologies.

I'm glad they're re-doing the Civic because I personally think the current Civic lineup is... plain at best. When the new Civic hybrids come out, I should talk my mom into getting one.

Do you think the civic hybrid is still worth it for someone like my mom that would not be interested in driving techniques to maximize gas mileage?

Your welcome :!:

Hybrid for someone not interested in learning how to drive one :?: Hmmm, IMO no.

But if the recent hike in gas prices to $3.00/ gal isn't enough incentive to "help" motivate her, I don't know what is :!:

HTH! :)
