I have a problem and need help. My Instantaneous Fuel Efficency Display is no longer working correctly, and of course my dealer knows nothing of it.

My display bar is either sitting at Zero as I go down the road or is pegged at 150. It is effecting the Average Fuel Effecency figures.

Does anyone have any idea. This site encylopedia tells me how to turn it off but not how to turn it back on if I do.

Has anyone else had this problem? Or is this just a fluke?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know if it will help but disconnect the 12v battery. Perhaps when you reconnect it the system will reset and work properly. Have fun, Rick

Mine had done that (pegged at 0 or 150) 2 or 3 times. It seemed to happen after I stopped and started the engine a few times in a short period. It would return to normal after a few minutes though and hasn't happened in about a month.

I would try disconnecting the 12v like Rick suggested, just watch out when driving after reconnecting it. The day after I installed my stereo I started to go to work and when I was pulling out of my driveway (into 55mph traffic!) and I had no assist until the recallibration finished.
