The stereo on my 2010 Insight is cutting out on me. It's a non-nav model with USB.

Almost every time I turn on the car, the digital display is frozen and it remains stuck on whatever radio station I had it on (or AUX). After a few minutes, it will come back to full functionality, but then often cuts out again. Sometimes it just doesn't work at all.

I want to replace the unit with a used one I found on eBay, but I'm not sure if it's the exact model I need. I want one with USB functionality, but that is not listed on the description. Do you know if 39100-TM8-A01 is the right model for me?

Here's the listing: 2010 Honda Insight 39100TM8A01 Radio Stereo CD MP3 Reciever | eBay

Try looking up the part number here:

When buying a unit off eBay, make sure you are getting the theft code (or a good discount because it's not available)
Sometimes the VIN of the donor vehicle is helpful. In any case a Honda dealer can look up the code with the serial number
on the unit itself. You would just go directly to the parts counter. Those guys tend to be pretty nice. It might be a good idea to have some sort of receipt. The eBay listing you link to looks like an auto dismantler. If you Google something like "used Honda auto parts" one of the first hits is a nationwide database of who has what available. You enter your zip and it will populate a list by zip code. That will give you an idea of what the radios are going for and who might have one nearby.

Thanks so much! That link helped me figure out exactly which part I need. I put in my VIN and the VIN of the car that the used radio was taken from, and the parts matched.
