Thought some of you might be interested in the following ...

If you're thinking of buying an Insight OR if you're thinking of sellling one, take a look at the motors section of eBay.

Look up Honda / Insight.

In addition to telling you how many bids have been offered on the given car, at the bottom of most of the current ads you will find a "counter box" indicating the number of times the ad was looked at.

I purchased my CVT the other month and during the month before that it was common for those advertising Insights on eBay to have had twenty, thirty (20 -30) or so individuals looking at their ads but now with these higher gas prices, if you want to see something interesting, if you have a moment or two, take a look at the "counter box" at the bottom of the current Insight ads!

This morning several of the ads had several hundred to a thousand or more individuals looking at the Insights being offered! Keep in mind to, most of those ads only run for a week or so.

I have very few questions asked about my car usually, but when gas prices rise, more and more people ask me more and more questions.

with the red ones bringing premiums due to their mechanical and aerodynamic superiority over other colors (must be the dye used in the paint)!

Just checked that red Insight that's for sale on eBay ...

Over two thousand "hits" so far, per the counter at the bottom of the page, and the vehicle has two days to go yet. Over two thousand "hits", that about 68x the normal. The other two Insights aren't doing too badly either. As understood here, these high gasoline prices are causing people to think about their car buying habits of old.

I have seen three Insights (including mine) in State College, PA...all are red MT's. Very efficient and quite peppy, too!
I am really pleased to see the resale value of the Insight. Not that I ever plan to sell mine 8)

Looking for used Insight?

I was buying a part for my Insight and Just spoke to a gentleman

(his name is "Bi" pronounced be) at HapRecycling. He has an Insight for

sale on his showroom floor. He said a friend owns it. It was hit in the rear

and has been repaired. I believe it is a silver '02. Sorry I don't remember

the mileage or price I believe it was less than $10,000.

Phone 1-800-999-9499

I hope this helps someone.

Just checked to see how that USED red Insight on eBay is doing ...

Over Three Thousand (3,000) "hits" so far! That's about 100 x the norm!

It's a 2003 model and the top bid is only Five Thousand some dollars below the bids on a new CVT model being offered!

Could it be that color is the reason?

Naahhhhhhhh!

 Insight sales are up 41 percent last month, and red is a hot color.

Blame it on Billy! He's been showing off that beautiful red machine of his with perfect clear coat and 81 MPG lifetime mileage. :D Now everyone wants one! (as they should) ;)
