Can't really help you there, but if you want some affordable seat covers and got a Costco near where you live, they sell neoprene seat covers that fit the Insight quite well. Interestingly enough the three colors only offer are grey, red, and blue. I believe the company that makes them is "Cross Country".

If you want pics on how they look on the seats, I can take a couple of photos.

I want Photos

I want some photos. I was going to order those seat covers that are made out of the scuba gear thing, water proof, sand/dirt resistant, etc. But they're kinda expensive, but I wanted them since their a nice material and custom. I also like having the Insight logo etched. Can I see some photo's of more generic costco car seat covers installed. What'd they cost? Any excess slack you had to tuck away or some areas too tight that are squeezing the seats?

I did the Costco neoprene grey/black seat covers (sold in pairs) myself. The blend in pretty well with the car's interior, and they fit the Insight seats like a glove. (I was going to put one of them on my wife's Tracer's driver seat, but had trouble making it fit! So, the Insight got it on the passenger side too.)

Of course, the Powerpuff Girls steering wheel cover is a bit ostentatious, but I'm a bit camp that way... :)

Well... Here's a photo of the 15 bux (or was it 20?) water resistant neoprene seat covers that are available from Costco. Basically they have three colors: Red, grey, and blue (I got the blue of course).

Took the photo a night with the flash so it doesn't look quite as good. Trust me, they'll look a lot better with your own eyes. I'll see if I can remind myself to take a couple of pics during the daytime tomorrow.

Also I have heavy rubber floormats (will trap about any type liquid, dirt, etc.) on my Insight which can also be purchased from Costco for around 20.

Thanks...

Thanks for taking and posting the picture. Those are a good fit to be a standard size. That may be the way I go, but I'd still like to know if getting the Japanese covers is possible.

Of course, with as muc as the Japanese covers cost, even if I do get them I'll probably want to buy the Costco covers to protect them! :)

I haven't been to my local Costco yet, but if they really do sell Neoprene seat covers for only $20 it may be the route to go. Considering they're $120+ on other websites. I want maximum protection for my car. I'm also looking into car covers to cover the car when I'm at work 8 hours and when I'm at home sleeping, trips to stores and such won't justify covering the entire car. My fiancee thinks covering the car is pointless since I wash it once or twice a week anyway. It's my first new car and I just want to do everything in my power to keep it in the best possible shape.

Neoprene for $20. I definately have to check that out.

I know how to get them now! My cousins gf lives in Japan and will be coming to my upcoming wedding in 14 months. I could suggest it to her as a wedding present, which means I could use the costco seat covers as a tide me over til then. If it's not to much, maybe she can buy them now and ship them to me. I'll inquire more about it. If you're interested insighter I'll find out if I can have her send or bring 2.

I finally found a way...

I finally found a way to get them, but it would be $350 per pair (shipped included). At that price I'm thinking really nice sheepskin covers.

I have a set of the WetOkole seats in Blue (matches the Insight almost perfectly), with the Insight logo.
I absolutely love them. They are a breeze to clean, and fit like a GLOVE. I like the look of the Costco ones, and would probably have gone with those if I had a Costco in my area (in the interest of cost-savings), but my Wet Okole's do fit a lot tighter (they should for ~$300).

pm me if you'd like me to send you a pic.

If anyone wants the costco neoprene seat covers, I can buy a couple and ship them out if anyone is interested. They're fairly light so shipping shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Think my costco only sells the red and blue ones however. Haven't seen the grey colored ones lately.
