Insight speedometer at 101MPH during an RX-7 meet/cruise last weekend in Ottawa, Canada. Had to keep up with everyone else, you know...

Wow! How stable does it feel at that speed? Where you in fith gear? I see the assist was running all out.

I've taken my little Insight to 103MPH here.

Interestingly enough the ride does feel pretty stable. The tires tend to want to drift though. Somewhat had to keep my two hands tightly on the wheel.

Do you still have the old ECU? My 2002 kills the IMA at 100.

i've had mine up to 93 on I-69

The car was pretty stable, but it did feel like the rear tires wanted to drift out. Later in the day, I actually got the car to around 109 or so. I believe both runs were in 5th.

My car has the newest ECU.

Because of the tire drift, I had to know the road I was on before trying this, and yeah, I kept both hands firmly on the wheel... but 5th gear 103 is my top speed atm. Got out of 4th I think around 85mph.

Btw, it's a '02 Insight, and regulator won't kick in till 115 btw.

ON a side note, you can maintain 93MPH at 35MPG without any battery ASSIST.... not too damn shabby

Not as stupid as it sounds...All I did was grab the camera off the passenger seat, hold it in the general position, and snap the picture blind. That's why it looks so bad. Believe me, I had a VERY firm grip on the wheel and my eyes never left the road.
