Poor blue paint, this state really does just destroy it. Good find though.

What's an OPG auction?

If you don't already know; $5 and proof of ownership will get you a key at the dealer. You'll have to bypass the immobilizer to start it. A lot cheaper than having the ECM programed for a new chipped key. Two of my Insights came without keys.

Doesn't the immobilizer cause a CEL though?

Thank you for the info, but i have a Curtis clippers #15 and a key programmer. I buy and sell older Honda's so i had to invest in making my own keys.

Yea that won't work for me unfortunately. I can't have a CEL because of emissions reasons...

Same in NY. The immobilizer bypass board gets soldered into the ECM and keeps the CEL off. I've been using one for 3 years.

I'm so confused. I'll just buy one and see what happens lol!
Remove original immobilizer board from ECM = start without proper chipped key and get CEL
Install immobilizer bypass board in place of missing immobilizer board = no more CEL

Besides keys being much cheaper, you can swap ECMs around all day without issues.
