If you don't already know; $5 and proof of ownership will get you a key at the dealer. You'll have to bypass the immobilizer to start it. A lot cheaper than having the ECM programed for a new chipped key. Two of my Insights came without keys.

Doesn't the immobilizer cause a CEL though?

Yeah, but there's a bypass board you can add to the ECM that takes care of that.

Yea that won't work for me unfortunately. I can't have a CEL because of emissions reasons...

Same in NY. The immobilizer bypass board gets soldered into the ECM and keeps the CEL off. I've been using one for 3 years.

I'm so confused. I'll just buy one and see what happens lol!
