Hello everyone, I just got my 2006 silver cvt Insight today and I am thrilled!!! My parents have a blue manual transmission 2006 that they got around Christmas time and my soon to be brother-in-law has a silver 2001 Insight. We are becoming an Insight family :D
I decided about a month ago that the Insight was the hybrid for me and started looking. I live in NC and amazingly enough, I found one in a small town on the lot!!! I couldn't believe it. I didn't buy it right away as my husband and I were in the middle of refinancing our mortgage and I didn't want a car purchase to jeopardize anything.
3 weeks later, I put a deposit down on the car. Today, we drove to the dealership and picked "Rita" up. We are excited to have her. She was well tested on our drive home as we drove through a wicked thunderstorm, but she handled it like a pro.

I don't think I ever wanted anything as badly as I wanted this car. Every few minutes, I run to the garage, flip on the lights, and peak in on it. Such a great feeling.

so much fun!!!

So yesterday was really the first day that I got to spend some time with this little marvel. All I can say is that I had a blast driving it!!! I don't think I have ever smiled while driving a car like I did yesterday.
I showed it to several co-workers and they all thought it was the neatest looking car and asked me how they could get one. It is so addictive. I could see myself wanting a 2nd one for my husband. They are truly amazing.

By the way, mine is #274.

Congrats and enjoy your Insight! :D

We are one of the growing number of families very lucky to have more than one of these fantastic cars. My husband's is silver and mine is citrus (green). Driving is great, but even seeing the two in the driveway brings a grin...well, usually... Both cars got beat up very badly in a hailstorm 2 weeks ago and then another monster hailstorm hit without warning just 1 week ago and doubled the damage.  State Farm has not been a good neighbor but I will try to talk with them again.

Anyway, lesson learned is to keep the garage clear and some extra rugs handy (bath towels are useless against golf ball hailstones). Take good care of yours and enjoy the best car on the planet!
