Hi,

I want to know how and where to apply the Shin-Etsu.

Do I need to use some Karate and remove the door panel to gain access to the run_channel while the window is up
Or
Can I apply some while the window is down, from where the window usually is, in the frame.

I would prefer not to dismantle the door panels but I do not want to do it and not get a result..

Thanks.

I haven't yet done this myself, but when the dealership applied shin etsu to my windows I'm almost certain they didn't remove the door panels. I would think a qtip or swab would be the best route to try first. I'd clean it out first that way you get a nice smooth run channel surface. They only had a very thin layer in it as well. When you roll the windows down now you can see where it got on the edge of the window.

HI,

I did use qtips to clean the channel and then applied the grease with other qtips. It worked well and now both windows take the same time to go from down to close, like when the car was new.

Thanks Rick.

Awsome! Thanks for the update, guess that answers the how to apply question. Now we just need to see how long the shin etsu lasts, because mine were done by the dealership months and months ago and still work perfectly. I'm still impressed by that stuff.
