HELP! Need a Loaner Grid Charger in the Southern/Central California Region?

Hi there! My battery pack is on the fritz and I don't know if it is able to be rebalanced or if it just needs to be replaced. I can't afford to buy a grid charger AND a new battery. If I bought a grid charger and it doesn't revive my pack, I will have be out that money (might be able to sell the charger at a used cost). I am looking to sell my Insight (it is posted on the forum) and just want to fix up the pack before I pass it along.

Is there anyone in my area that can loan me a grid charger! I am willing to drive to you and even pay a small fee for letting me borrow it (maybe even give you a refundable deposit?).

I live in Visalia, CA. I am willing to travel to Fresno, Bakersfield, Los Angeles, maybe even Sacramento or San Francisco. Please get back to me and let me know if you think you can help me out. I really appreciate it!

Otherwise, if you have any feedback on purchasing one of Jeff Sloan's chargers vs. a Debrowski charger, if you are able to sell me your used, working charger, or any other input or offers, I would be indebted to you.

Do you have a place to work on the vehicle? The rear cover has to be removed to gain access for the hook ups to the IMA battery.
It takes probably around 12 hours to charge a battery sufficient.
Most people that have a charger has the connector permanently mounted in their vehicle.

Those are things that have to be taken into consideration.

Willie,
Yes I understand (I have read many threads, and also the installation and operation instructions on Mike and Sloan's grid chargers). I have a safe space in my garage to perform the charging in, and I understand that it may take 12+ hours. I realize that many charger owners have permanently installed theirs, but I am hoping someone has a spare charger they are willing to loan, one that they do not keep constantly mounted, or is willing to disconnect their charger to help me out.

This is also why I have offered to pay a fee + a refundable deposit (to be decided) for the time, effort, inconvenience, and assistance required to make this happen.

If I do not hear from anyone soon, I will go ahead and try to order a charger of my own, assuming that I can find one I am interested in shelling out for (already saving up cash, eliminating expenses and limiting my budget-more ramen and eggs and less veggies and shrimp!). Since I am looking to sell my Insight to get an larger, AWD vehicle, I did not want to invest in a charger. (Yes, I do understand that I should have already had one!)

BTW, why the hell Honda is no longer making batteries (I get it, but it's not fair to their loyal consumers!), does not provide information or products to help maintain them, and doesn't even include mention in the manual of "balancing" the IMA battery to help maintain cell strength is a continual source of frustration to me. Understanding how to care for your battery pack when you live in a very hot climate? Hmmm... Well, when you purchase a vehicle, it should be easy to find information FROM THE MANUFACTURER (credible, researched information) regarding ALL OF ITS COMPONENTS. If it wasn't for this forum, a lot of these lovely machines would be worthless.

Anyways, appreciate the response and the input. Please keep me up to date if you have any more useful suggestions or advice. Thank you!

Buying a charger for your vehicle, and charging it will give you a plus when selling the vehicle. (With the charger)

I might be in Visalia in early (Jan) around the Caldwell ave. area. (as soon as this weather gets a little better) It will be on a weekend)
If you want to meet up maybe I can help further in diag. your malfunction, I'll give you a call if you want.
PM me if you want more information.
