Help! my CVT bit the bullet and am looking to either a. sell the car or b. get the CVT repaired or replaced. Located in Southern New Jersey.
Overall, my 2002 Silver CVT model is in great shape. The IMA battery is original and hanging on with regular grid charges. The brakes, 12v battery and tires are new in 2018 and it has an updated stereo system installed.

What are my options?

Need an East Coast Repair Shop

Not looking to do the work myself...I'd like to find a shop experienced with Insight.

Willing to tow it to Maryland,,,I mite help replace transmission. Or take it off your hands,,
Sorry-Just saw this...

I'm getting a P1885 code. What would be ballpark on replacing the flywheel or spline if it's more than just a speed sensor?

Otherwise - I might be willing to just let it go if you came and got it.

Look, I don't own an Insight, but I've read tons on here. Have you checked the shift cable? It might have broken at the connection point to the CVT. Could be a relatively simple DIY fix.

I think Timmy on the forum has put together a DIY repair kit for this too. Worth investigating before the Viking funeral (sorry, but I drive Volvos now).
