Hi everyone,

I've been meaning to start this post for a while. OCD dictates that I have every single detail in order before I do so. However, I just made a post for a friend, and have convinced myself to start this thread with a few things I have off of the top of my head that I know will be of interest to members (I sought after some of them to no avail before I had this Insight - may it RIP unless someone buys and rebuilds it - which I hope!)

Off the top of my head, more to come...

First Gen Driver's Side Floormat (2)
One is used in good condition, while the other has never been used - MINT!

First Gen Passenger Side Floormat(s)
I believe that I have two of these. I ordered one new lightly used. I think the other might be new or lightly used.

Rear trunk mat - great condition

One "Better Battery"
Note that I think these things SUCK, but they are usable. I had issues with it doing positive and negative recals, although it did perform its function. I believe that others have discovered that it's really a "WORSE" but ample battery. I can't sell it without saying that in good conscience.

One "HONDA SO ACTUALLY BETTER THAN THE BETTER BATTERY"
I'll have to research my history on this one. I had it sitting for a while, but it takes a full charge, and I would often balance it out with one of my chargers. I haven't recently, but obviously will and provide all of the information I can before looking into selling it to someone.

All kinds of extraneous nuts and bolts
If your car is missing some and you'd like to make it back to stock, or if you just want to get rid of those TORX bolts over the battery compartment, I've got a handful. I'm not the biggest fan of shipping, but I also am not greedy, so I'd prefer to sell some with other parts (but a plea from a kind soul would surely open up that soft spot in my heart, I bet).

Rear Speaker Kit
This is needed, obviously, to add the two speakers to the rear of your car. I have... I think a pair of Kickers that could go with them or without them.

Original Tape Deck
If you want to go back to stock, or just love your tapes, this is the way to go!

Aftermarket Alpine Head Unit
It's a few years old, so it won't stream bluetooth from your iPod, but it is high quality, and it will give you the capability to speak hands-free. I do believe I also have an extra mic for this. It was rated much better with this feature than others, and it's definitely better than the model that I have in my "grocery-getter-family-car" Corolla S.

Alpine In-Line Amp (No Wiring Required)
This is the real reason to get the head unit above. This item sits between the head unit and the wiring harness. It acts as a true amplifier and takes up just a little more space than the little box that holds the face of a head unit. It can easily (very easily) be mounted behind the glove box with no problems or fitment issues at all. I have pictures, etc. It couldn't be an easier install - just need a few zip ties, and dropping the glove box (four easy screws, or just the two at the top might work) is all that you really need. It should take your head unit from around 22-25watts RMS to 45-65RMS if I recall. I'll get the model, link to specs, etc when I update this post.

Polk Speakers
These are low depth that fit in the front doors. They area also marine rated. They sound great. However, the Insight likes to leak, so you can tell from the stickers on the rear that they've had a little moisture. But it has not affected performance at all. In fact, I might not sell them and put them in my new truck if they fit. They are marine grade, after all! They're what most people recommend on the forum and I think they're like $100 new.

FULL MIMA KIT w/ AutoStop & Two Custom Unmodified Joysticks
Now here's a Gem! Last I checked, these weren't being made anymore! I removed it completely, and it should be in full working order. It did need calibration, however, because the included gauge would show that it was two dots in regeneration instead of steady at zero, but I never got around to fixing it, because I had other instrumentation (and I got really busy).
There are some small special things about this kit. First, I never used the putty and whatnot to officially mount it. In fact, the hot glue over time slightly melted and held it in place - ha! Florida is hot - but not enough to actually damage the unit of course, just make the hot glue pliable.
Also, I had Mike D make up two custom joysticks. I couldn't fathom the wood, so we made a deal and he made black plastic knobs for the top of them. So you can be unique like I was! :) That's small, but worth a mention, I think!
Another thing - one of the early monitors (early, but not buggy, works AWESOME) is wired into the unit. This can be very easily removed. However, just like I found the perfect way to fit a grid charger into a pose supply box, I also found a great way to wire this in and mount the LCD. I figure that unless the person has a similar setup already, it's probably best to keep them together for a nominal increase in price (the LCD was on the pricey side, and I could keep it and use it for other projects). I hear that there are more sophisticated things out there, but they use the precious OBD port that I'd rather keep open for different things. Also, they give me extra info that I honestly don't really care about, and don't have the "perfect fitment" that I was able to put together, but that's just my opinion - not to knock the other product, because it's really great!
Also, it has the manual auto-stop feature. Just push in on the joystick to turn the car off, but if you touch the pedal or shift into gear, it acts just like autostop and puts the car immediately back on. More about this and MIMA in general can be read at over on Mike's site - 99mpg.com, if I recall correctly.

I have a Scanguage
I'm not totally intent on selling this. I have lots of other vehicles to play with this on, but I also have an "Automatic" device that plugs into OBDII and gives me the basic information that I need (and more accurate MPG without having to tediously program the device). Regardless, they're quite popular and useful if you're going to try to reach my old-school 130+MPG or 1200+ single tank miles in real-life situations. Those days are long gone, but I can't help but reminisce.

There are a handful of other things, so please ask. I plan on returning to this thread and putting some prices (I haven't even gotten to that point in my head, but I think this will help me get there). I really need to clean out my garage and such, plus I have my lovely baby, and my spare cash goes to her. She's so precious, and I want to give the world to her!!!

OK, I guess I HAVE TO post her pic, because she is JUST SO AMAZING AND GREAT AND WONDERFUL AND BEAUTIFUL!!! :) Argh... I've gotten myself in a bit of a rush, so I'll have to add it later. I thought I could upload it here.

MODS: If I have broken any rules by not posting prices, please know that I am considering this more of a draft to address my OCD issues, and fully intend to return and polish everything up. I hope you can understand! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Hi I am extremely interested in the mima setup you have. How much to ship it to hayward, ca 94541?
A lot more than it would cost shipping it to Indy. :D

In addition to the stuff below I would like what is up with this?:
"Selling Limited Number of Grid Charger Kits click here for more info!"
I clicked the link and it appears the link is dead. Do you have more grid charger kits available? Anyway you can direct me to what you have been building? What I'm trying it get at is if you are selling out, and have a bunch of grid charger kits available, if the price is right I would be interested in all you have. Especially if the deal involved your MIMA setup. Just a thought. I need a ton of grid chargers.
Thanks
Gerald

Sorry guys! I should have cleared out my PM box before making this post. I'm still at work now (Mondays are a very late day). Feel free to PM me, but I'll try to get back here tonight, if not, then tomorrow.

I hope everyone comes out a winner! I honestly look forward to passing these items on to improve others' cherished Insights!
